Passport Health Communications, Inc., a nationally recognized pioneer in developing Internet solutions for the health care industry and one of the Best Employers™ to Work for in Tennessee, is seeking a Reimbursement Consultant.
The Reimbursement Consultant is responsible for the accurate research, analysis and timely judgment of reimbursement claims.
Job Duties:
- Client Communication
- Document and communicate to the client on any current or upcoming changes in payer claims processing.
- Provide feedback to the client on issues of the ATB/Work list.
- Communicate with the payers when billing questions arise, or unusual rejections occur for possible overrides. Any information from the payer will be relayed to the client.
Reporting
- Run Error Reports in eCare CMS daily after import and correct claims based on payer compliance and specifications.
- Submit weekly work progress reports to team leader
Statusing
- Complete Public Aid statusing. Process rejections and communicate with the client.
- Work any RTP, Denials, or Rejections.
- Other Duties as Required.
Education/Experience/Skills:
- 1 to 3 years accounting, hospital billing and/or business office experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Knowledge of ICD-9, CPT, HCPCS, E&M services and Medicare/Medicaid regulations.
- Knowledge and use of medical terminology.
- Preferred ICD-9, CPT
